What it does

Halo is a personal tracking log, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or predict illness, and its reports are meant to be taken to a clinician you trust.

Questions people ask

What should I record in a migraine diary?

Common entries are when an attack started and ended, how bad the pain was, what medication you took and whether it helped, and what came before it, such as sleep, weather or your cycle. Halo records onset, pain and medication during the attack, asks two hours after a dose whether it helped, and stamps each attack with the weather from the 24 hours before it.

Can a migraine app track barometric pressure?

Halo does it automatically: every attack is stamped with the barometric pressure, temperature and humidity of the 24 hours before it, from Apple Weather. It then tests those readings against your own history, says "associated with" rather than "caused by", and tells you when there is not enough data yet.

Can I share my migraine history with my doctor?

Yes. Halo builds a PDF with your attack calendar, frequency trends, medication response, trigger map including what was ruled out, your MIDAS score and your notes. The doctor PDF is part of Halo Pro, and CSV export of your data is also available.
