How the guides on this site are made
Updated October 4, 2026 by Kamal Nasir
The guides on madebykamal.app answer questions people search for about the jobs Kamal Nasir's apps do. This page explains who publishes them, where their facts come from and how they are kept current.
Who publishes them
Every guide is published by Kamal Nasir, the developer of the apps the guides mention. A guide names the app of his that fits the task in a box with a link to its App Store page, so the connection is always visible.
Where the facts come from
Each guide lists the sources its facts come from at the foot of the page. Primary sources come first: official health bodies such as the NHS, universities such as Monash University for the low FODMAP diet, standards such as ITU-R BS.1770 for loudness, manufacturers' own support pages such as Apple's, and the grading companies' own published standards for trading cards.
When the sources give a range rather than a single number, the guide gives the range.
Comparison guides
Comparison guides name other apps that do the same job and link to their App Store pages. What each app does is taken from its own App Store listing. Kamal's own app is marked as his in every comparison.
Health topics
Guides about health, such as migraine, IBS, hydration, food allergies and clinical documentation, are general information. They are not medical advice and do not replace a doctor, dietitian or other clinician. Where the sources list warning signs that need a doctor, the guides include them.
Dates and corrections
Each guide shows the date its content last changed, and that date only moves when the content does. Guides are updated when a source changes or a reader reports a mistake. To report one, use the support page of the app the guide is about; every support page is listed on the About page.
