Migraine apps differ in how quick they are to use during an attack, how they look for triggers, and what they give you to take to a doctor. This page compares four migraine and symptom trackers with Halo. Each summary is drawn from the app's own App Store description.
Migraine Buddy: Track Headache
Records attacks with triggers, symptoms, medications and relief methods, and suggests symptoms and triggers as you log. Its description lists diary and structured reports to share with doctors, a seven-day pressure and temperature forecast, automatic sleep recording, an in-app community, and optional Health app integration. Bearable - Symptom Tracker
A general symptom and mood tracker that covers migraine alongside pain, mental health, gut symptoms and chronic illness. It shows correlations between your symptoms and sleep, food, weather, stress, medication and habits, can be customised to what you track, and syncs steps, sleep and heart rate from Apple Health and Fitbit. Migraine Tracker & Diary: MiG
Logs the frequency, duration and severity of migraines with triggers, symptoms and aura, and charts your history. It adds a pressure variation forecast, a MIDAS score to follow migraine-related disability, articles on managing migraine, and a diary export for doctors. App Store
N1-Headache
Asks for a short daily diary on days with and without headache, then maps factors associated with higher risk, lower risk or no association. It produces a PDF Personal Analytical Report to share with a healthcare provider, tracks medication and shows a MIDAS score. Its latest App Store update is dated January 2023. App Store

Halo: Migraine Tracker
Built for logging during an attack: Attack Mode is dim, silent and works offline, and comfort tools (a green screen, paced breathing and masking sound) are there afterward. Weather is stamped on each attack from Apple Weather, trigger statistics say when there is not enough data, and a PDF summarises it all for your neurologist. About it ยท App Store
Questions people ask
What should a migraine tracking app record?
At minimum: when attacks start and end, how severe they are, what medication was taken and whether it helped, and what came before them, such as sleep, weather or the menstrual cycle. Each app on this page records a version of that list.
Can an app tell me what triggers my migraines?
An app can show which factors line up with your attacks in your own records, but an association in a diary is not proof of cause. Halo labels every result "associated with" and reports nothing until it has enough data. Confirming a trigger is a conversation to have with your doctor.
